Major Payer: Medicare
Services Offered: Skilled Nursing, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Medical Social Services, Home Health Aide
Consumer Needs: Qualifications for medicare home health may include short-term care (usually several weeks a month), acute needs for exacerbation of an illness, or care after surgery. A medicare patient must be home-bound for the duration of care. Services ordered by a physician may be provided on a part-time or on an intermittent basis.

In-Home Care
Major Payer: VA and some long-term care plans (Medicare and most private plans do not cover)
Services Offered: Homemaker Chore Services Personal Care Assistance Respite Care Advance Personal Care Skilled Nursing
Consumer Needs:
Long term (usually months to years) Chronic needs (assistance needed to stay in the home) (help with activities of daily living)
Agency Criteria:
Services ordered by a physician and authorized by the VA
Private Pay
Major Payer: Private funds
Services Offered: Homemaker Chore Services Personal Care Assistance Respite Care Advance Personal Care Skilled Nursing Visits
Consumer Needs:
No limit on amount or duration of time in the home (determined by the patient and/or family) No criteria needed to obtain care No Physician order needed for aide giving personal, homemaker or respite care
Agency Criteria: NO license issued in MO for this type of company
